When we bought the farm, it consisted of the house, a metal barn type building with
2 ½ enclosed sides which was divided into 2 stalls and a large “storage” area. My
husband thought this was the perfect building to convert into a woodworking shop.
There was also a lean-to shelter in one pasture, a triangular shaped “shelter” that
housed pigeons, and an area named "Rancho Siesta" - a pet cemetery.

The pasture areas were divided into 4 large areas, one small area we called the
“runway” as it went down to our creek, and several small corral areas. We
subdivided one of the large pastures: one side for our does and the other for our
bucks, and one large pasture was planted in walnuts.

We built 3 goat barns, a donkey shelter, and a garden shed or pump house.
We have other buildings planned; and as always, the need to put up extra fences
and replacing or repairing existing ones.

Our views are spectacular, with Mt. Lassen and the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the
East, Mt. Shasta to the North, the Coast Range to the West,
and the tree lined creek to the South.

A little bit of Kansas on Kansas Lane.
Inside the driveway are genuine Kansas Limestone fence posts

The beginning of the orchard.
It now has 50 Chandler Walnuts. In
a few years, Albert plans on having
a real producing crop.
  Our quinine area, a place
to just relax. There is a fish
pond with 3 bubbling
fountains and a mill stone
with water flowing over it.
