Meet our first kids of the New Year

Green Willows Flower gave us an unexpected birthing Jan 20.
She had been pasture bred with no known due date when we purchased her.
What a surprise at 8:45 am with a temperature of 30 degrees ! ! !
She was one smart doe to wait till we started our morning feeding.
All three were quickly moved to our inside laundry room for the day
and into a freshly cleaned and warmed barn in the evening.
#1, a buckling - 8:45    #2, a doeling - 9 am                  It's much warmer in the house
The doeling was named Freesia and the buckling Thistle.
2 days old and
exploring but it's still too
cold to go outside
